So what makes one?
I got a cat in January, I'm more of a dog person but I work full time so a dog isn't an option but I missed having a pet.
I rehomed a rescue. She's 3 and she's absolutely the most epic cat I've ever met. I suspect she's perhaps a dog trapped in a feline body but I totally love her to bits.
However, I'm taking a pile of piss taking from my mates... single 40 something with a cat. I'm maintaining you need to have several to warrant being a crazy cat lady though. 
Tell me I'm not alone with my love of my cat?
(If I start smelling of wee, I'll know it's time for drastic action!) |

You are well outside the Crazy Cat Lady definition. You would need at least six and to dress in purple (and smell of cat wee). One cat just doesn't do it. Keep trying. |

I have two cats and am over 40, but hoping to get a dog again soon so maybe that discounts me from also being a crazy cat lady.
I think of crazy cat ladies being those that have about 20 cats who just have kittens non stop and their home is full of hoarding with cats roaming everywhere, so I think you're safe for now ! |

I loved my cats and my dog soo much taz(the dog) and peapoe  adored me very rare left my side had them 15 years all passed away 3 year ago within a few months of each other  Will never forget them |

I had a cat. He died a few years back now. I totally adored him. He really was my world for a long time. He was the one constant for me, through thick and thin. Sounds silly but it's true. Totally broke my heart when he died. Had had him for over 15 years  |

I'm a crazy cat lady, and some of you have really missed on a big indicator - the Internet.
I follow quite a few cats on Facebook - Venus, Colonel Miaow, Homer the blind wonder cat, Lil Bub - I could go on. Some of them are dead. And then there's all the cute kitten videos

my cats 9 this year..she's my sweetheart(and well photographed)..she's all about me..not keen on other folk,or animals...she's mellowed out so much that all she wants when I come home from work is to lie against me..and having her tummy stroked..with big long gazes into me
then on some days she just reverts to daft kitten stuff! |

I have 3 cats at home.. 2 of them is rescue. Each of them have different personality and I love all of them! If I could I would get even more cats:D
I have alot accessories with cat
silhouettes and pictures. All friends know how much I love them so my bday cake and most cards was with cats.

I'm 40-something, single and have two cats who are central to my world. They're both rescues and I've had them for 8 years. I don't care if anyone has a problem with that.

Watching a bit of one of the twilight films once, (I forget which) and a wolf howled and my big cat growled, (you know that throat noise they make to other cats before they have a fight), jumped off the sofa and ran into the kitchen. My other two reacted to it as well- flight response! |

My torty rescue Bracken is currently sat on my bed watching a model steam engine being built on the telly! Nearly always at the front gate to meet me when I come home from work. Not a lap cat but loves to sleep almost upright but leaning against the arm of "her" armchair and she has her own chair in the garden with a sun shade when the weather gets a bit too hot! |

I'm a crazy cat man then. I have two black cats. I adopted them from cat protection when they were 12 weeks old. 6 years later they've been very good company as sad as it sounds. They are the craziest two cats going. They're sisters and go everywhere together and sleep next to each other.
They're definitely not allowed in bedrooms though. Definite no no. |

You aren't alone. I'm on my 2nd rescue cat. She's totally different from the first but she's amazing. And the other day she was as a certain mobile phone ad states "being more dog" as she was running around with a stick in her mouth |
