peeps are saying they're going to appear in Sundays chart, personally I doubt it as I think they missed the boat when iTunes first came online. Sure some of their songs will get downloaded but as for them having a number 1 single again, I'd be very surprised. |

Apple has made a huge thing of it.
Since the launch on Tuesday they have given up their whole homepage to a Beatles ad, unheard of for Apple.
I think we will see a good handful of singles in the top 40, not sure about a number one purely because of the saturation of Beatles songs out at the same time. |

"sorry, never liked the Beatles and never will!!!
me neither.
Oh what rebels we are "
Me too! I was scared to say anything cos I thought I'd get lynched. So The Beatles on iTunes for me is a bit "meh". |

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else |
You mean there are other sources of music apart from itunes?
Another triumph of Apple's (and, in this case, Apple's) marketing department - advertising as news, to go along with their usual technique - testing via sales. |

"isn't it all a bit late anyway... I mean anyone who likes the beatles (love them by the way) has probably ripped them onto there ipods and mp3 players anyway....."
Sadly you'll find the fanboys and the collectors will download it simply to add to their collection, which isn't complete if you don't have every possible instance and format. |

Fools, albums on physical CD are cheaper than iTunes, at least on Amazon they are.
99p per track, £10.99 per album. Mmmm let me think, yes thats a rip-off.
If they'd been 49p per track and £6.99 per album, even for just a 2 month promotion period then they would have being number one I suspect. |

I've never been a fan of the beatles...the wrangle over the rights to publish on i-tunes seems to me more of a personal than public victory though...seriously, do even the beatles fans care?
I'm sure any credible fan will already own the back catalogue and have it on whatever mp3 player they have.
I have all my cd's on my ipod....it's not as if you have to buy exclusively from their store.
