Just heading home from town, windows down and tunes on as it's a lovely day.

Anyone else do automotive karaoke?

Had Bow Wow Wow's I Want Candy on the way here and got Simple. Minds Forget About Me for the return journey.

What's your driving song of choice to sing along to?

Can't beat a bit of Queen as you drive. I like Under Pressure on long journeys.

the Clash is also ever-present in the car, as is Van Halen (best of)and the Who "Quadrophenia" - music for any and every mood! I have Simple Minds in there too (New Gold Dream), oh and Lynyrd Skynyrd is fun sometimes too. Got a Somerset there and back trip this weekend so concur the vocal chords WILL be f**ked upon return

If you've never heard "Spirit of Radio" by Rush, that's a classic first thing in the morning, turn it as loud as it'll go tune to start the day. Am as excited at 45 as I was at 10 when I first heard it by that song.

If it's Motorhead, it has to be "Bomber" , which is also my funeral song

And for a bit of extra punk, try "Smash It up" by the Damned and "staring at the rude boys" by the Ruts

The Medics version is very good, and for punky covers try Toy Dolls "Nellie the elephant" and Stranglers " Walk on by". But NOT the Damneds worst moment "Eloise" which was crap. Dr and MEdics opened for the Damned on their 10th anniversary show at Finsbury Park, I think I still have bruises from that

Respect! I found a box of old vinyl inherited from my uncle and in it was a late 70s album simply entitled "Dolly" in a pristine gatefold sleeve, with the lady simply a delight of hair teeth and er enormous tits! Hanging on to that vinyl!
