Very good indeed "thumbs up"
I'm damn successful but I got here by not taking crap. I still don't take crap, so if anybody needs a champion, let it be me.

"can someone define " Evil" for me?
An absence of good.
Sometimes the absence of good is merely "meh" "

Hmmm. Can't define it, but it made me think of this quote from Edmund Burke: “The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men should do nothing.” |

Different people have different definitions of evil, what we do on fab would be seen as evil to some people.
As for money, people do some terrible things to get it, but I wonder if it is the fear of a lack of money that makes them behave this way, so maybe fear is the root of all evil. |

"Love is the root of all evil proclivities, for without love there is no temptation. The quintessential irony. "
Surely Love has nothing to do with temptation? |

"can someone define " Evil" for me?
This.
You can't philosophise on anything vague. Evil, like love, doesn't exist."
Something was identified and labeled with the word Evil for the purposes of communication. So what was it that was identified and named Evil? |

I wasn't there but can guess. Like a lot of nouns, it was created and a connotation given to that word to stigmatise something, maybe an action or a person themselves.

Maybe it has evolved over time to stigmatise, but it may have been used to actually describe an action originally, maybe an action that harm others. |

Possibly. But it still has no meaning, imo. |

haha i believe the root of all evil is ego/competition,
i say this becomes the need to be better off than others whether financially, power, control etc etc all stems from these two factors.
Monogomy wouldnt exist there would be no jealousy due to the fact people aren't in competition for looks...
We do live in a duality though, therefore cant have good without evil cant have on without off etc etc.... just seeing them for what they are... examples to follow or to avoid.
Tread the balance, be aware, and know how to become detatched. |
