"Whats it mean?"
It's a really good documentary about a guy who falls in love with a facebook profile and it ends up she's not the young girl she made out to be. So it's a person pretending to be someone else online. Best part is, i was told this after i asked for a skype addy on all 3 occassions!If I'm prepared to show my face on cam and they aren't, doesn't that make them the Catfish? People can be dumb. |

The term "Catfish" pre-dates the movie...

For the purposes of this definition, yes it did originate from the film to apply to people faking online. Prior to that it was used to describe something very different. The poster asked about the term in the context i used it and i explained. |

thanks! And yeah i know i look younger but then surely i would make my age younger?  I mean what woman that doesn't look 40 would lie and say she was? Lmao. I think men just don't think before they type sometimes. |
