Clearly changes have to be made what if any changes should the selectors make?

The Aussies are in danger of being out of sight if we perform like today!

Agreed the top order was a bit duff, but the bowlers were just as poor.

How many wickets did we take - 10 or 11 in total? Over pretty much 3 days. The oz took 20 in less than 2 days

And how many of those did the Aussies throw away? Warner twice alone.

The bowlers have earned a pass from past exploits. The top order have been consistently getting skittled over exposing the middle order to scores of 30-40-50/3 or 4.

Huddersfield

Bell- no longer good enough

Lythe - not good enough

Balance - technically poor so suspect under pressure

KP - best we have so manage him, find a way it's your job!

Ashes are pretty much done

At the risk of making a pun, what we need are men of Steel.

David Steele, a surprise selection in 1975 went out to face the Aussie quicks, Lillee and Thompson, with no helmet onanda rolled up towel for a thigh pad (the latter to the great amusement of his more seasoned teammates). And performed well, beyond expectations.

Anyone else reckon that Cook deliberately avoided using Anderson towards the end of the Aus 1st innings to save him going over the ton? Something the fans had previously derided M Johnson for?
