They're great in stir fries, sliced into chopped tomatoes or in a cucumber and pineapple salad, roasted with courgettes, finely sliced into mashed potato, in a cheese sandwich, frozen and eaten like an ice lolly.......ok I made the last one up.

Damn got carried away thinking you did freeze em...like the idea of roasting em with courgettes...done all the rest...just wondered if there was some weird n wonderful recipe I've missed

Apparently, they are now called salad onions.

Not a clue why. The srings must have gotten fed up with being mistaken for an onion or something.

Anyway, poach them in milk, add to mashed spuds for some delicios champ.
