If the robot was self aware, and not constrained by its programming, surely then it would be no different to having sex with a person, albeit a mechanical one? |

"No for the EXACT same reason I can't take any sort of Sci fi seriously...it's not fucking real."
look at your mobile...it was essentially in star trek.......
many physicists grew up on sci-fi...it might not be real..but the applications of technology sometimes stem from the imaginations of man.(and woman)(and tv) |

Ex Machina is an interesting film exploring the concept of sex and AI. " |

"I'd shag the blender if it bought me dinner.
Watch out for the blades
You'd need a pretty shallow blender to be honest. "
Well it is meant to be NSA but doesn't mean it can't have standards |

AI is our future, it could be a created consciousness(thats a whole big lotta ethics) or a transference of our thoughts into machines(or one big machine).
a world where there may be no pain, suffering, killing.
Imagine harnessing energy from the stars(ie solar) to fuel a civilisation(one that needs the barest of biological processes or indeed none)
Our galaxy could collide with another,or collapse into a black hole.. we transfer data(our civilization elsewhere), hey presto it could be immortality.
Its not also a hugely wild idea that we may be able to live in a virtual world..
check out microsofts holographic new interface thingy...this is whats been built from sci-fi..these are the small steps that will seem alien to our grandchildren/great grandchildren.
fact.
