Well my 13 yr old just got home from his last day of school. He forgot his key. So I opened the door singing 'Schools out for Summer'. Little did I know he had 4 of his friends with him. I could tell he was more than a bit embarrassed. He's going to kill me later!!!

Do you think you're a cool parent or is it just me??

My kids too young to understand embarrassment fully, she's only 5 but she was impressed the other day down the beach when mammy showed her that she can still do forever flick flacks (that's what we used to call them in gymnastics!) think continuous back flips! Blew her mind!

My daughter (4) squeezes my hand when we are in public and I sing. Although she's very happy to skip through Tescos singing loudly with me

Noooooooo!!!!!!!! Your role is to embarrass and humiliate your children as much as possible, at every available opportunity.

Clean his face with the corner of your hankie.

wear strange ill-matched clothes when their mates are around.....

And when they are all together say " I love you" in a really creepy voice whilst hugging them and smothering in wet kisses!

And when they are all huddled together in their room, burst in at inopportune moments with jam sandwiches, jelly and icecream, and haribo sweets.

I believe that it is my parental duty to embarrass my kids...

I don't really, they're only young but I try and minimise their embarrassment by my behaviour as I know how it feels to not have that.

16th birthday, trip out with my then boyfriend. My mother and aunt decide to wind down the windows of the car and have Neil Sidarka (sp?) With whatever 16 referenced song it was blaring out through my home town main street

I will never forgive them

Ah! The tyranny of school holidays!

My daughter said to me the other day that, "I love you daddy 'cos you're so funny."

"Enjoy it while you can, kiddo, as there will come a time when you find me deeply embarrassing".

She's 6

Isn't embarrassing your kids it's what being a parent is all about?

Just like the time I chased my 10 year old daughter round the beach. While I was twerking. Backwards. Being a crab...

His mates will think you're cool, he'll think you're embarrassing. I have a 13 year old too. The more embarrassed he gets, the more embarrassing I become lol

My daughter, 6&1/2 (the 1/2 being VERY important) said to me the other day:

"I love you daddy 'cos you're so funny!"

To which I replied: "Enjoy it while you can kiddo, as there'll come a time when you find me deeply embarrassing."
