Just watching this as two of mates from rugby are in it but its really fascinating!
My mum was an identical twin & just found out she is called mirror image twin which are much rarer!
Just wondering is anyone a twin on here or has twins? |

There are twins on both sides of my family but haven't made an appearance in recent generation. Great grandmother was last on the one side. Everyone keeps saying it'll be me that has em. And they wonder why I've put off having children, double trouble lol  |

It was quite interesting for me but more so to understand my mum better & the bond she had with her twin |

Thats why a female friend of mine is putting off having kids as long as possible as she has twins in her family and has quite a strong chance of having them herself xx |

I have a set of fraternal (so unidentical) twin girls they are two now and the first sets to both survive in my family for over 70 years.
I've now got a four week old too and she was at a 6 week early pregnancy scan a mono mono Identical twin too but I unfortunately suffered from vanishing twin syndrome and her sibling failed to thrive and I lost her/him by the time I had my 13 weeks scan |

True story this, my mum told me in our village a couple started seeing each other, caused a huge uproar with both their families trying to keep them apart. Turned out they were twins! Their mum was sent away to have them in secret as she was young and unmarried and it was the 60's. Then her family took one child to raise and the fathers family took the other. Very sad story as when they were eventually told the truth the male tried to commit suicide  |

I have identical twin boys who are now 24 they fight like cat and dog one is gay i have known since he was a young age but he came out at 14 .. the other has 2 girls .. |

We did in the beginning but now it's easier although if they ring me I have to ask who it is lol xx they've also fooled teachers loads of times lol xx. Nobody at my work place can tell them apart x |

My Dad was a twin, and I have twin boys, they both used to have seizures within hours of each other, they went to separate schools, and I'd get a phone call that one has had a seizure, next day I'd get another call about the other one, happened nearly everytime. |

As an aside I have friends who have twins but one was born on New Year's Eve and the second an hour later on New Year's Day so birth certificates say different years ! That took some explaining when they were little lol |

thank you ...... Also for years my daughter often said mum I wish I was a twin ..... So when I felt she was old enough I told her that she was and explained to her what happened .... She replied ... I always had a feeling I was a twin |

Its amazing how twins who ethier lose there twin at birth or through adoption feel they are a twin or should be a twin that connection amazes me. |
