A lot of Sterling for Sterling....
Jump to: Newest in thread
some will say its a disgrace that someone gets paid that amount to kick a football around, some will say its deserved because of his skill (wrong shaped balls for me so i wouldnt know to be fair).
Truth is football is a business and if that it the going rate for talented players then thats what he should get. Salaries in this industry are not comparable to anywhere else....they ar e funded by private cash. if people want Dr's to be earning that sort of money then are they willing to pay the taxes to be able to afford it? |

At his age, if he becomes a first team regular for 2/3 seasons then it's a good investment, considering how much they spend on other players who haven't succeeded.
He's moved to challenge himself, every one is a winner really. Liverpool didn't want him with his recent attitude, city need some British youth, how they manage his development will decide his future. It may be another Robinho style move or one that actually works out, seems he needs a manager to be driving his progress. |

As a liverpool fan i think its great, he hasnt shown much on the pitch last year, sturridge and suarez made him look better than he was
He is gonna be playing football with some good footballers at city so he had better improve or hes gonna be spending a lot of time warming that bench up |

"£49 million for Sterling? What do people reckon?"
Man City are upping their quota of English players, but at an absolutely ridiculous price.
He's fast becoming the new Ashley Cole, greedy, and almost universally hated by fans of other clubs for the way he's been.
For me he's talented, but not that consistent. You would expect to pay that for an established world class player that's done something in the game.Sterling isn't that by any stretch.
City can afford to waste it though... |
