What is probably putting them off OP is that on your profile you are claiming to be straight - by what you have said in your post it might be more accurate to describe yourself as bi-sexual or at least bi-curious.
I would suspect that it's less to do with who you do or don't find attractive and more a matter of honesty - in their eyes.

I think I find the fact that people aren't honest or comfortable enough to put 'bisexual' on the profile, more of a turn off to be honest.
