On my way back from birmingham this afternoon(smashing party the nite before), my companion and I stood at hill st bus terminal..a large suitcase had just been left on its own..nobody knew who it belonged to..
for the FIRST time in my life..I actually had real fear about a terror attack!
I wanted to either get away from the suitcase or move it further away..
we chatted to a fellow scot, she said it wouldnt matter we'd be dead if it went off anyway..perplexed I was... lol
yes..touching cloth refers to nearly shitting ones self. |

If I'd have been there, I would have told you all to get down, then jumped on the case to save you all from the blast.
Actually, on second thoughts, no I wouldn't. Sorry mate. |

Hmmmm reminds me of when I worked at Heathrow back in the 80's.the ira attacks were in full swing and we were told to be vigilant ay all times report any suspicious activity or parcels to police immediately.
Coming out of our lockup one day we saw a black bag in an unusual place.
We panicked slightly and went and found a police.
He came with us to said bag, told us to stand back.
Then proceed to casually walk up and kick it.
WTF! '
Naaa you idiots he said just a bag of rubbish.
True story. |

"Aye, I'd be touching cloth too!
A great expression that I've not heard for a while!
I love it too, didn't hear it until I moved up North."
