Catty or Bitchy?

To me, cattiness is playful, witty, and not malicious; whereas bitchiness is condescending, patronising, and can be nasty.

I would like to believe I come across as a nice pussy cat, and not a bitch!

what about "mousy"...;-)

Serious answer? I think bitchy generally relates to a more serious kind of nastiness, where as catty can be associated with playful, feline like behaviour maybe? Having said that my female friends call me (and I them) "bitch" as a term of endearment sometimes...when one of us has said somthing a bit naughty to the other but realy funny, leaving the recipient short of a quick reply... it all depends on the context.

I'm a bitch, I'm a lover

I'm a child, I'm a mother

I'm a sinner, I'm a saint

I do not feel ashamed

I'm your hell, I'm your dream

I'm nothing in between

You know you wouldn't want it any other way

I believe cattiness is nasty and harmful not playful.

It has nothing to do with kittens and balls of wool. It's generally used to describe the jealous barbed comments made by inadequates /those with low self esteem.

A lot depends on intention and delivery.

Well, I am watching this re-make of Jason and the Argonaughts on TV, and am oodling at all the exceptional males!

The one that plays Hercules has a very dreamy body!
