Hereabouts

Worry when you dream about traveling circuses with lots of suitcases and a canal with a whale being cut with a knife so the evil shark calms down to eat the blood long enough for the travellers to jump in and pull the bridge across... That's what happened to me when I got a couple of hours the other night

Try a tott of whisky and a mug of warm sweet milk. They combine in your stomach and should put you into a deep sleep.

Central

I do find early mornings the best part of the day but prefer a full night of sleep.

Electrical gadgets etc emit blue lightwave light, so limit your exposure as evening progresses. Television, phone and computer screens give it off and it stops production of melatonin in your brain, when picked up by your eyes.

Computers and most phones have free programmed like f.lux that stop it being produced. Search on the internet for them.

Getting by is not the same in all likelihood as getting a healthy full amount of sleep.

Practice yoga and meditation, so you have the skills to put your body into deeper relaxation, closer to sleep.

southend

I often find, since I switched to 12 hour shifts, that my body is exhausted, but my mind is still busy, so I really struggled to sleep of an evening.

Now, I have a cup of Sleepy Time tea and read for 30 minutes before bed whilst drinking the tea. No mobile in my bedroom, no TV, and no laptop in that 30 minutes. Oh and no caffeine after 5pm.

Sleep lovely now.

I always wank before I sleep. I find it relaxes me with whatever chemical is released (yeah I know.....sperm! Lol). But seriously, it does the trick.
