Just Googled it and it's still not entirely clear! Something to do with Pepsi Max having more sweetener to make it taste more like regular Pepsi than Diet Pepsi does. Then there's something about the formulation of the Pepsi Max sold in North America being different again, it contains ginseng and more caffeine. |

To me Pepsi Max taste sweeter.
Tesco's Diet Coke is just as good as Diet Pepsi and Diet Coke. Its all i buy now as its much cheaper and taste like the real stuff. |

Pepsi Max (and its Coke equivalent, Coke Zero) seems to taste 'sweeter' than the standard Diet Pepsi (and Diet Coke) whilst still being low calorie - I can only presume they use different sweeteners?
I really like Pepsi Max Cherry at the moment, I'm sure all the flavourings and colourings aren't really very good for you but being about 5 cals or so a bottle it feels relatively guilt free for a fizzy drink |
