Just watched the bbc documentary on her before her demons took hold, such a beautiful person it genuinely makes me sad to think she will never make music again |

Fascinating to watch, her love of music especially jazz was only beaten by her love of self destruction. Felt more emotional the day she died than when relatives have passed! |

Just logged at by chance listening to a tony Bennett duets album him and Amy singing body and soul x
I thought she had a major chance but betrayed or exploited by some who claimed to love her like many others xx |

I've been listening to Amy Winehouse and Michael Jackson tonight and wondering if the people managing them were partly to blame for their deaths. Too scared to do anything or say anything in case they were sacked. Same with Michael's doctor. |

Great talent. Had the pleasure of seeing her perform live. As said above, her and Michael Jackson and many more surrounded by weak or manipulative people and not enough people who gave a crap about them. |

To compare Jackson/Winehouse is a chalk/cheese critique. Jackson consummate entertainer with an array of personality disorders. Winehouse a massively gifted artist with a different array of personality disorders. Jackson and Madona are in the former group. Spectacle and production done to the limit. Winehouse belongs with the creative/interpretive greats. A conduit for emotional connection. The entertainer offers escape. The artist weaves into the fabric of our personal experience. They share an inability to avoid fatal excesses. Though even that failure was a drive manifestly different in each of them. Let's dance. |

Think there should be some sort of celebration once a year for her music and talent maybe the government would even give us the day off ha ha not bloody likely |

Am guessing then should be a Freddie Mercury day? Jimi Hendrix day? Bob Marley Day? These people became legends of the music industry before they died. Not saying Amy wasn't talented but she was a mere flash in the pan in comparsion and joins a long list of musicians that leave you wondering how far they would have gone if they hadn't self destructed. |

Sad."
Very sad. Had the privilege to watch her live and even though she was fantastic and mesmerising it was obvious how out of it she was. I felt she had been exploited being made to/allowed to perform in such a state. Very talented lady. Such a sore loss. |
