Are you the type of person who skips the hello? Do you wait for a reply then think your besties forever? Do you like to build a rapport with someone first?

Also do you just send or do you ask politely first?

We never send a friend invite unless we have met.if we want to keep an eye on a particular profile,we add it to hotlist.

I only send them or accept them if me and the other person have messaged for a bit and/or conversed here first.

If it's not clear on their profile when to and we're at the arranging a meet stage we'll ask if it's okay to send a friends request. If we're asked and we're not sure of meeting/not yet arranged a meet we ask if it's okay to speak a little more first.

After I've met them. NonFriends Add until then unless they're long distance & we've chatted for ages & long enough to consider them a friend. Until then - NOPE.

I ignore friend requests from people I've not spoken too, chances are it's just to see your private pics! Prefer to chat, build some trust, maybe even meet, then add as a friend.
