One of mine, was when I'd been seeing my, then boyfriend, for 27 months. He sent a bouquet of 27 roses to my workplace. It was totally unexpected.
There are others, but that particular one made my day.
What's yours or did you organise a romantic gesture? |

I had an amazing lover we shares many special and intimate things .
For me I paid to have a star named after her. We met in hotels so one Christmas decorated the room and together we put up a Christmas tree. Its was very moving silly I know but so deeply personal.
For her
She painted a picture of us kissing . It was a beautiful gesture still brings a lump to my throat and tear to my eye x |

On my Hen night in Liverpool, Mark had rang the hotel me and the girls were staying in and had my room filled with flowers and had a bottle of champagne put in each of the girl's room too. I cried |

I've had the flowers sent to work. Had a boyfriend who picked me up from work to take me to dinner...in Paris. My daughters helped him pack a bag and give him my passport, but the most romantic and intimate thing for me was my husband drying my caesarean section wound with a hair dryer as it had broken down, dressing it then kissing my tummy. |

I made a comment on a good morning thread about having no milk in for my morning coffee to kick start my day and 15 mins later I have PP at the door, milk in hand, wearing a Superman tshirt! Even my kids were melting at that saying "awwww Mum hes so lovely, you've got to keep him" |

It's not the most romantic, but this one always stays in my head.
On a 2nd meet we decided to go out for the evening and have some fun in the car... He popped into co-op to buy some fags and also got me a little pCk of strawberries and cream (I'd obviously mentioned I like this) I just thought it was a very sweet thing to do |

"Nothing I've never been with a romantic man I'm now going to sit in the corner and cry.
I'll come with you. No one's ever done anything romantic for me either "
I just have to say you have an amazing bottom |

Well while we're both sitting in the corner crying together, I'll let you have a feel |

"I don't really like the big overblown romantic gestures. I like the little reminders that someone loves you, on an otherwise nondescript day. "
Exactly this x |

May I have a moment where I cry into my tea. I've never had a romantic gesture or act directed towards me. Not a sincere one. My ex wrote me a poem once about getting me back, his motives were selfish so it doesn't count and my heart didn't swell with happiness and love. I'm going to read the other comments and cheer myself up,in the knowledge that there is true love and romance in the world |

an old lover of mine bought three dozen red roses and scattered the petals all over the bed and made love to me on top of them , the perfume was gorgeous ... ive had a song written about me and recorded and i have a collection of hand written love letters spanning 20 years from an unrequited love that could not be ... I have a beautiful canvas portrait of a much younger beautiful me which was painted by my x .... i guess all of those things are quite romantic , strange how I am known for my cold as ice demeanour . |

I don't go in for the great big overblown romantic gestures. But little things that prove someone really gets me are lovely. Like picking me up from work and having a custard slice ready because I mentioned earlier on in the week it was going to be a mare of a day. Thoughtful little things go a long way. |

Absolutely! I'd rather someone bought me a pack of polo's with the right sentiment than spent £1000's trying to impress. Not really comfortable with the lavish thing. If I want something I'll work hard to save for it not expect someone to buy it for me. |

I've had a digital post it note left on my PC desktop saying
'Callum loves Lilac 4eva'
I thought that was quite cute and thoughtful when I found it.
Then he kind of spoiled it by getting flowers from Tesco express for my birthday. |

Travelling on a 9 hour bus journey in Egypt the bus stopped at a toilet stop. While I was in there, my fiance went to a shop.. To get us cold drinks. He also bought me a single red rose from a flower seller and a bar of choc. He surprised me with them on the bus... |
