Is anyone scared of it?

I have a healthy fear but doesn't lade me in general.

Chams or Socials

I used to really hate thunder & lightening but had to pretend to be brave for the kids!! It started about 10 mins ago here & is pretty impressive but I still don't like it!!!

Sometimes the thunder does catch you a little off guard when it's louder than expected... just imagine what the bombs sounded like going off in the war!

Do like the way it flickers... strobe light is a good analogy never thought of it like that

Try it in Death Valley; it's, possibly, like the end of the world.

I was camping when younger and during a mad thunderstorm lightning struck my sisters friends tent. They got bad burns but were ok. One massive bang and I jumped, ripping my sleeping bag.

I still love lightning and get out in it, away from trees and tents. The light intensity and sound that day was phenomenal but it's a fairly rare thing, so feel I'm rational about it.

We had a spectacular lightning storm last night , the pooch is a tad nervous of it so heaps of cuddles and we watched through the window

I adore lightning. At night I just HAVE to get out of bed and watch it.

Sadly if we had any last night, I slept through it, years of conditioning of trying to ignore the large thunder-sounding noises coming from beside me...

Indeed. Lightening is the process of making something lighter
