I don't think you need to take to any stages ... that's the route to establish an acting company.
Sadly... I'm here all week! |

It usually starts with a business plan. |

Make a film, find somewhere to post it, YouPorn or red tube. Easy
The difficulty is making money from porn, there are so many free porn sites now, it's a bit of a saturated industry, Paying to watch porn is a dying market.
Unless you have some sort of niche your going to struggle To produce nothing more than gonzo or p.o.v. Videos.

Any business needs to follow a certain legal framework that exists in the countries that they operate in.
As others pointed out, having a business plan for a business is also helpful. It's largely an industry that's in decline, due to the vast competition that exists, as well as the internet changing the market place for the industry.
Certain sex acts aren't permitted here. If you distribute porn, then you may potentially fall foul of laws in other jurisdictions. It's possibly not a good idea to operate until you've had good legal counsel. |

There was a massive uproar about a year ago when they have made ammendments to the 2003 communications act called the audio visual media services regulations 2014.
Apparently images of face sitting and squirting are now illegal.
There were massive protests outside parliament with banners saying 'squirt doesn't hurt'.
And there are American states that ban 'unprotected sex' being filmed, i personally hate 'nodder films', but it's only a matter of time before that law moves over to Europe. |

That is the probable cause of the huge increase in vidoes titled such as !Horny mother with NOT her son" or similar (apparently )
Must be Jim's mum. |

In so far as I understand, the industry is not regulated here but as has been pointed out it is subject to the laws of the Country.
What this means is you can set up a company tomorrow and star filming but you will need to bear in mind the recent changes in law. The changes do appear to be very draconian and acts which you might not perceive to be outrageous are now in fact illegal to filmed on camera.
Practically speaking, as has also been pointed out, you need money. Cost of the girls, studio, cameras, ability to distribute, etc.
In terms of profit, there is very little to be made due to significant IP infringement and also the amount of free porn on the web.
A lot of adult film stars also escort and some guys have tried to make a living by booking them filming it and (with permission) distributing the content. I am not sure you will make much from it but there are a few amateur style UK porn sites out there already.
Monties POV is one such example |

It has taken us 15 years to get to where we are. It's a difficult business rife with legal loopholes and more recently vat issues.
Content produced is subject to bbfc certification. Web release is difficult and expensive.
Tube sites can work as a promo tool but they are also engendering an unwillingness to pay for content.
An average shoot with 2 performers MUA decent location and production will cost you upwards of £2k. Do you have a way of recovering that through distribution? Will you be able to maintain the paperwork?
Also how do you intend to recruit? You need pro performers certainly to get any decent revenue. These are expensive and rare beasts.
We recruit and develop performers but it takes a huge amount of effort and time.
Don't underestimate this endeavour. It's certainly not as easy as it looks. |

I think the only way you are going to make any money is by doing something different, these days people tend to think that different means more extreme, I have an idea, and I think it would work, pm me and I'll give you the details, I can even help with the concept if you have no one to do it, I would like to see this genre work, it would be very profitable in my oppinion |

Yes some good points above & well worth listening to, having done this myself for almost two decades i have seen all its changes.
When i started making porn it was illegal so morning raids were a common thing compared to how easy it is today with new laws & the technology.
Get a niche & a good niche to survive as there are thousands of people now making porn in the UK, as said above make sure you have a market to output to & never spend more than you can recoup in a 3 months period.
Set up a profile on AW using amateur people & see what you earn on there from your films/pics before spending lots of money, its hard work & not as glamorous as many think.
Good luck on your new venture & please pm me if you you need any advice.

Johnny (John Mason) Rebel is the king of British porn & one of the nicest guys you can hope to meet so you did well there, me & Kim were in a shoot he did for the Playboy channel some years back.
