"My mum was picked to play for the 1970 Ladies World Cup squad
Really ?? I didn't know it existed way back when"
Neither did I until my friends husband asked her why she was so knowledgeable about football!!! It was held in Italy & the manager was a Harry Batt. She went on to qualify as a referee in 1983 |

After having predicted the penalty shootout, are you as good with the horses?

i thought they were woeful for international level. A typical england performance. Not blaming the squad for effort but who the hell coaches them ? whats worse is i think they could have pissed that game |

Thats the point Ive been making on the proper WORLD CUP THREAD, the one which is 3 parts deep.
Hero's the lot of 'em.
Well not to me but perhaps to school girls or women who play the game.
Basic school girl errors - No, nut just by ENG but I only watched their matches |

The England team were the equal to the World champions for 90 minutes and was a shame to go out the way they did,the japanese might have been technically better in holding & in passing the ball the ball but England created the chances and in fact hit the woodwork with the japanese keeper beaten on a couple of occasions,The japanese Team have been together as a squad for 4-5 years now,England are only just starting out so am sure there are good times to come.

Basic schoolgirl errors?,is that not what the Mens Englant Team make on regular basis?. "
Not really, it happened again last night.
This is just an example. England throw in, throws it, team mate comes forward, hits her shin and goes straight out.
Thats possession done and dusted, now they have to work like mad to get it back.
They do that vs the full German team and they'll get fucked over by a few, if Germany turn up |
