Passed peacefully aged 106 at Wexham Hospital in Slough, having saved 669 children from their deaths in concentration camps.

I hope he is remember for years to come.

RIP.

At a time obsessed with celebrity and putting idiots on pedestals, notoriety for just getting a hair cut.

This guy actually deserved the praise and attention.

RIP a true actual legend.

Im very sorry to say I have never heard of the gentlemen.

The reason maybe, its the fact he didn't go around sounding about it.

In my eyes makes him one very humble hero.

RIP SIR.

Is this the same chap who was sat in the audience for a TV show, the story was about the people he saved.

Unbeknown to him everyone surrounding him were related to the people he saved.

On cue from the host they stood up one by one.

Never seen anyone so humble.

RIP.

I saw a television piece where he was at a show or something and they announced his name and what he did. He stood up and they told him the audience around him was made up of the children he saved who were now adults. It was very emotional.

It was so moving my chest hurt. Lots of good things in the world don't get reported about.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He did what he knew was right. A man to be admired.

If you can find it listen to Dame Steve Shirley's piece on him. She was one of the children he saved. She said that she knew she had to be the best she could be because she had been saved.
