I absolutely adore stockings. But I can never get them to stay up!
They always roll down after just a few minutes. I've tried them with suspender belts and those ones with the sticky gripping tops. Still no luck. I've tried different sizes and different brands.
I really want a good pair that will stay put.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a secret I'm missing??
Or does anyone have any recommendations for some good ones to buy?

"Funnily enough, try Wilkos. They do really good grippy ones. Really high too, I'm five foot eight & they go all the way to the top of my thighs "
Thank you. I'll give them a go. X |

I've not used it, but you can get some body glue that helps to keep them up. Otherwise, are your suspenders not working effectively: I'm guessing you're just talking of hold-ups though?
Such glue is probably not fantastic at times like now, where temperatures are amazingly high, and your legs may perspire. But, probably better than nothing.
Otherwise, is it a perfect excuse to add some weight? I'm guessing that the tighter your stockings are, the easier it will be for them to stay put. Not that we can target where we lose or gain weight from: if we could, I'd be targeting my bust, rather than adding to my belly. |

I wear stockings nearly all the time - invest in a good suspender belt - minimum of 6 strap, metal clasps work better - my every day one is a 10 strap, or a 6 strap girdle.
Wear stockings that fit - trial and error here - I love silky brand ones - but some others are not so good. I love seamed ones best.
If you really need them to stay put, a light spray of hairspray on your thighs can help with normal stockings, and dampen your legs for hold ups. Tesco hold ups work ok for me.
Good luck |
