probably as most Females of the couples are appealing to males and females. Males are, and don't mean this in a derogatory way, secondary to it.
Hence why it's difficult for guys to get meets.
Know what you mean though. If I see a couple profile and it just had a cock pic I wouldn't entertain it.
Also the same reason a lot of single guys have a female in their profile pic. It attracts attention.
Ma thoughts anyhoo.

Now don't let common sense get in the way of the facts! 
OP I guess it will largely depend on two things.
What they are looking for? If mainly straight single guys then images of the male half of a couple are largely redundant - although one or two is always good. Looking for single women or couples? Then both should be equally visible, surely? The 'bait' approach may get views and messages but leaves the door open to awkward back tracks if down the line the male isn't equally appealing.
The second thing?
If the guy in the couple is a munter with two heads - neither particularly attractive - then using the more attractive half will at least gain initial interest! (But see the above point for the downside!!)

Honestly though - it's because I can't be arsed to take new pictures. The last lot were taken four weeks ago and I've lost 8lbs since then and it shows. Since this is an ongoing process we haven't bothered and likely won't until September when I hit my target weight and it levels out.
We also cam chat with folks before we meet so they can see what I (P) look like and finally, no matter how good I look, my missus totally outdoes me in the hotness stakes. |
