Am I the only person who pays extra attention to certain people in forums not because I fancy them but more because they make good points (don't always agree with them though) or they tend to make me giggle/think?
Must be about 6 profiles I double back for when scanning over long threads |

Yep.
Only here for the forums at the mo and there are some very funny and interesting folk around.
Not telling you who though.
Find your own bloody profiles to stalk.....I mean, observe!

Haha over time I've let a couple of them know that I find them interesting (very different from me being interested) but I'm sure others must be thinking I'm some freak occasionally looking at their profile |

I flit about and rarely notice who said what where. I do know who will post on certain threads though. I forget where I've commented myself,I'm such an airhead. |

Go 'stealth' !
The stalkers........I mean 'observers' best friend!
I'm sure plenty will know I find them amusing, interesting, intelligent and their posts worth reading.
I'm sure others can guess what I think of theirs too. But it would be a dull old place if everyone agreed, had the same _iews - or the same sense of humour.
You don't have to want to shag someone or even necessarily meet them to find them interesting and a positive influence on the forums and site.

Yeah there is a handful of posters I have respect for.
I like what they say and usually the way they say it.
And I am indifferent to the rest but I don't think badly of anyone on here. They are just not my type of people |

"There are people I agree more with on the forums & some I definitely disagree with.
Have to stop myself posting sarcastic comments sometimes."
Once I realised I could get my point across without resorting to being nasty and running others down life on the forums became a good laugh.

"Yes I have my favourites mainly for the comic value they inject Tina and Gimp spring to mind for that and for sage advice and good old fashioned common sense Fabios hard to beat "
Yep have to say Fabio is one I look out for quite a funny guy too |

Quite the opposite, if I notice a thread by someone I know to be a wanker, I feel absolutely no desire to click on it. |

You must click on, like, three threads a week then! |

I'm the same OP, I normally only read a handful of threads as I tend to be dipping in and out, so I use certain posters as a sort of guide on which threads to check out.
Even so I still miss loads of those threads that turn funny halfway through.

More true for OPs than for thread comments in my case. If I see threads started by "a select few of my favourites" I am certain to read them as I know I will enjoy the topics they bring to the forum. |

When we first joined years ago there were some fantastic characters who's posts I used to enjoy following
There are very few now but some are still very worthwhile reading as they have a particular style and wit that transcends any sort of motive or forum politics
I enjoy those posters the most |

there seem to be a lot of people whom have either disappeared into hiding or left the site that I would regularly follow on threads. Never seen such a huge loss of regular forum uses, as I have these past 12 months and just can't seem to fathom out anyone any more, but I do love Wasp_Hunter's posts. |

Blimey, if all you oldies keep going on about the good old days before we joined, you'll start me singing Gladys Knight again.
Just remember, as crap as we are today, we will become the 'good old posters' for our children...

To be fair, I do like to accentuate the positive and eliminate the negative.
(or was that the Andrews Sisters? )

Yes this
I also approve of anyone who can make me laugh on here, and some people make me howl with laughter. |

yesterday was a cracker..someone was so funny, i just wanted to nominate him in a "post of the day" award

"Not really, I tend to treat everyone the same.
Although there are some people I will actively avoid because the way they behave on the forums does not endear me to them. "
Yup. There are some whose additions are about as useful as a chocolate teapot or not my cup of chai but I've started to automatically phase them from _iew.
But all posts are valid. Even Shag's lol after every post. |

With no emotion in text the lol or haha is important, can look like a dig without it,
And I can go all Simpsons Nelson on anyone who takes it the wrong way and say
"well I said HA HA" lol haha |
