Insist on the sedative. I had the spray & all I did was gag. It wasn't pleasant but I managed & the staff are there to keep you safe. They'll look after you. Don't worry & just think that's it's a procedure you need to go through rather than something worse. Good luck. |

Had it three times, the first without any spray and no sedation, didn't hurt at all but the gaging was awful. Second time I didn't know a thing, the third time I had the spray, that was foul and awful but I had sedation and didn't know a thing. Never again I hope!
Some say relax, that's about the last thing you will find possible.

I had an endoscopy via my eurethra. I was scared but i never felt a thing. Bloody thing looks huge but after the numbing cream you don't feel it. Don't panic you'll be fine xxx |

I've had one. It's a bit frightening to think about. When it happens, it's so unusual to anything I had done before that I was a bit scared at one point. But just relax and trust the drs doing it. It will be over before you know it. Let us know how it was
