time waster warning signs

I wouldn't take no verifications as the biggest sign just more of a little hint people have taken ages to be verified and even then not everybody leaves them, I do think the old adage of 'if it seems to good to be true it probably is' |

No veris is not a sign of a time waster ...
Some may be new, or simply choose not to show them 
Unfortunately there isn't a flashing neon sign above their heads which indicates their time wasterliness 
It's only after several weeks of prima donna behaviour that you usually find out, or by actual no shows, it continually putting you off  |

As above, we all start with no verifications.
And it would appear even the defining of a timewaster varies on here.
A timewaster is someone who arranges meets and doesn't turn up, or strings you along saying they will meet but have no intention of doing so.
My biggest annoyances on here are the phrases fun, clean and no timewasters  |

Everyone has different ideas of a timewaster. Ive seen people on here accuse others of being timewasters because they cannot accom which in many cases they have been completely wrong.
As said, everyone starts off unverified so you cannot really use that against people. We all start somewhere. |

I often make a point of inviting new, unverified couples to my couples parties.....very rare they say they will come and then don't. I have been first veri for quite a few people.....
If been on over a year and no meets...then that can be a sign. Often the green tick...but none shown or no summary could be....as in photo verified but not meet verified....perhaps different symbol on profile for these could help? |

My last meet didn't leave me a veri, and we did our second meet the weekend and he still didn't leave one... so not having veris doesn't necessarily always mean they're time wasters, might just be their meet hasn't written one. |

Not quite sure how someone would believe they are important enough to declare someone else a cunt.
For everything else, just use the private notes function. After all, one person's cunt may be another person's fuck-of-the-week.
Now that's a better button, the 'fuck of the week' button.  |

It's usually a combination of factors, which may be linked to unverified.
If the interaction becomes unequal, so they just want to take more than they give, I get suspicious. If my gut instinct is discomfort then I'm out.
If the practical considerations are absent or don't stack up, or they've completely ignored something that I've stated is important, then it can appear implausible that they want a meet and they don't care about me appropriately - so they are one dimensional, rather than fully personable.
If it's driven by a desire to get off fab to elsewhere, like an app, I feel reluctance and doubtful.
Distances matter, so hyper long distance raises alarms of course.
And aggressive pushiness can indicate they're uncomfortable about something, so need to dominate to hide the cracks.
Too good to be true is always an alert.
No guarantees but always sense your feelings for someone and the situation. |

It wouldn't effect us as we have plenty of verifcations from a variety of people.
The button is for the timewasters & abusive message people, just blocking them doesn't work as they only go on to their next victim xx |

You block them and then they won't affect or bother you any more and leave other people to decide for themselves |

There is a man used to come up regularly in my newsfeed with god awful pictures, so I blocked him because I didn't want to see them. I know of at least 2 other people in my area that have done the same thing.
The poor dude is branded a 'cunt' because he has crap pictures? Jesus, I'd hate to see you in government. |

I had three meets with same girl last week....I left her two veris...she only left me one...don't mean a thing.....we have each other on text n whatsapp and will be meeting again this week. |

I wouldn't call these people time-wasters, more people who aren't realistic.
It's when you get some horny chap 100 miles away telling me he will definitely travel up to meet me in the Attic or dogging. It doesn't bother me as I'm going anyway and there's always someone else there. |

Having been here for about 5 months, I think I've got a better grip of the time waster warning signals. All the people I've met have been straightforward, up front, and a real pleasure to meet. We chatted on here, found we liked each other enough to plan a social, set a date, met up and had lots of fun. Sounds simple? Well it should be really!
The key indicator of a time waster from my point of view is somebody who, the moment a date is mentioned, suddenly either goes quiet or becomes evasive and vague. I'm always clear that my free time is extremely limited and consequently really valuable to me, so if I commit to meeting somebody then that's quite a clear statement of intent which I would hope that they would pick up on.
Irrespective of how attractive you find the person and how much fun you think you might have, once you've given them a few opportunities then I think you just have to move on, not take it personally and have fun with somebody else. We all have things going on which limit our opportunity to play - 'real' life must always come first - but I think it's easy to spot the genuine people fairly early on. |

photo verified is always a good starting point i find, but then what do i know i'm a single guy.

I've had a few like that.
I've also had my time wasted by a verified user, so I would disagree with the OP on that one. |
