Anyone ever thought how long you can last if the shops couldnt get food or the water supply stopped, long term or short term, how would you fend off people wanting to steal your supplies? |

We grow a decent amount of vegetables in our garden and preserve it for the winter. I reckon we could do about three months with what we've got in at the moment (both shop bought stuff and homemade stuff). And we could drink water from the water butts that we use for the garden. |

I always think though, it's one thing to prep for a couple of weeks being isolated from society if there was a major snow or something like that. But with a proper zombie apocalypse, Life will never be the same any senario, I'm not sure I would want to survive it |

In the UK, it will be the ones with firearms that do well. In the UK there are 6.8 guns per 100 people, compared to 88 per 100 in the states. In the uk if you had a gun it would be a tactical advantage, in the US, it would just make you equal. |

For most things head down don't draw attention after 2-3 weeks it may be safe to forage.
As for food enough for longer than that water is the harder one as even going out to a water butt my draw attention.
Longer term ramp up veg and collecting seeds, Jan to May would be hardest time of year just like hundreds of years ago. |

My very first shopping trip to asda when I first became single was. 3 pot noodles a loaf. A bottle of milk 2lb of sugar ( forgot the tea bags ) and a bottle of wine. I was really proud of myself . Doing my first big shop |

The official time table for the UK until food supplies completely run out is around two weeks at three-four weeks rioting looting and a total break down in law and order four-six weeks multiable murders and robberies seven-eight weeks canabalism and mass starvation after this only people who stayed hidden and had a survival cach may still have survived.. |

I used to joke about digging a tunneling my nan's in Dagenham. She'd buy every 3 for 1 deal going each week even of she didn't like the food!!
Sadly she has passed away so that is no longer an option. My dad is like a cockney ray means though so as long as I am with him we shall dine on squirrel and such like |

Are you better off far from the masses? Without fuel, that's millions who could ravage you and your supplies.
In remote areas, you're easily picked off but less people to do it.
I used to be well stocked but now don't horde, except for the essentials - tea.

I have a disused water treatment works in the far north of scotland. A mile from the nearest road, 2 miles from the nearest neighbour. 6ft above ground, 8ft below ground. 4 rooms, each 10ft by 10ft. A survivalist's dream |

no never did that one but i did do person protection and cqc trained too plus im a tactical weapons training instructor would you like to.name.anymore which im.qualified in |
