Fireworks being let off two days after bonfire night, and especially on a Sunday, should give you reason to be happy as it means a lot of single father's have either had their kids for the weekend and returned them to their mothers who are now having their own little firework night, or, single fathers have just got their kids for the day and are having their own little firework night.
I used to be a single dad.
That's how it works. |

Wasn't there meant to be a law passed banning all the loud ones?
We thought they were only allowing the type young kids like to see,not the yob ones........or is that just our wishful thinking?

We used to have a big organised display and bonfire up the road in some fields. Had them for years and they were real good and if we didnt fancy going out if it was cold, we could watch from bedroom window.
Till one fateful night ......
It must have been the finale of the fireworks display and they set them off and KABOOOOOM!!!!!
The noise set off every house alrm, car alarm , shop alarm . you name it ...it went off. for miles and miles .
So said organised display no longer happens.
Mind.......It was soooooooo loud i thought the town had gone up in smoke.. |
