Would welcome any advice.
My cat has been in cattery for first time .He has lost weight and they had a job getting him to eat. ....even tried different foods. ...so I am not too worried about that.
He had bit of loose poo originally .....then semi solid poo.This morning he has had loose poo .Today I have kept him on dry biscuits and water.
Is this anything to worry about at this stage ? |

He sounds like he's had a stressful experience  if he's had different food he will just need time for he's tummy to settle.
Just give him somewhere quiet and warm to relax and he will soon settle back, Cats can go at least three days without eating and be fine x |

Deffo this 
Our cats wouldn't eat for days whenever we went away, then give us 'the evils' for days once we returned.
Normal food and normal routine and they should be fine.

Sounds like he was just unhappy in the cattery - some cats will never take to them no matter how well they're treated.
Give him a few days, up to a week before you go to the vets. If he's off his food try some chicken and rice. |

Thanks ....I've just left him be and he has come to me if he wanted a cuddle. |

One of my cats who absolutely doted on me used to go on hunger strike every time i went away on holiday my brother stopped at my house looking after the pets ny cat was fine ate normal just carried on as normal until i got home  as soon as i got through the door i would give him kiisses and hugs he would growl and hiss at me then throw himself in another room away from me for days refusing to eat or come near me sulking big time after a few days he would forgive me cats dont deal with change to well i find hope fully this is whats effecting your cat and will return to his normal self soon

Mine did it every year i put him in a cattery the first time and because of him getting stressed really bad i got my brother to stay at my house so i never had to put him in one again but he still threw a strop once or twice i got some plug in the wall thing that gave off some cat chill stuff because he was really angry and stressed that seemed to work pretty quick |

We have my sister and nieces come in to look after ours but it doesn't stop them being moody and giving us the silent treatment once we come back...they were awful in a cattery so we don't use them any more - I think your puss will be fine after a day or two xx |

This is the reason I no longer put my cats in the cattery..I pay a guy ex police dog handler whose now a pet sitter to come in and feed them etc..amazing guy and cats are chilled and happy altho they do give you the evil stare when your back as tho to say "And where have you been " |

feliway. Brilliant stuff, great for things like bonfire night etc too, or introducing a new pet to the house, plug it in a few days before the event, near to where pussy likes to sleep.x

I'm very fortunate in that I've always had someone to feed my pussycats when I'm away (mam or neighbours) so I've never yet had to put mine in a cattery and long may it continue...although at some point I'll probably have to as my Mam can no longer do it and my neighbours are getting older - hopefully, if the time comes, fingers crossed they'll forgive me for it |

Our vet has a notice board where people who are pet sitters leave their details.....some visit several times a day or take your cat to them or stay with your cat in your house - we would look into the visit several times a day woman if my sister and niece couldn't do it for us.....this might work for you too? |

He has slept on and off near me .
I won't be putting him through the stress of leaving him in a cattery again.
He means so much to me as my late husband bought him for me as a kitten ! |

Awww I didn't know that I am sure you will be able to find someone to come and visit him. To sit and cuddle him a couple of times a day when you next go away. I know I am lucky with my sister & niece but I do have the numbers of a couple of pet sitters for just in case - I am happy he has started to eat for you and seems to be feeling a little better. Hopefully today he will be even better again xxxxxx |
