I like him, the way he told that heckler to be quiet the other day was brilliant

"be respectful, you're in my house now"

See, even with all the best speech writers in the world I could never imaging Cameron giving a speech like this one tonight....

That's right I haven't heard the speech but will tune in tonight for it, but his previously speeches are good as well.

Indeed he is an impressive orator, but he doesn't have the comedy value of George "Dubya" Bush

Love the guy, but quite a few americans don't like him because of the financial crisis, which Bush caused, but the blame him, even though he told them it would take year to sort it out.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

He has presence.

I'm looking forward to seeing him inter_iew David Attenborough on Sunday night too.

He had the misfortune of becoming President in the midst of a global financial collapse but love him or loathe him he will be remembered.

It's not a sexual thing but I have mixed amongst a little in the higher echelon circles in the US. He's got no attitude and is great.

That's simply because the issues aren't of any comedy value...they are serious matters!

There was nothing comical about the invasion of Iraq and Afghanistan, nor the attack on the Twin Towers either

Nothing comical about the fact that the current incumbent has signed more Memoranda ie Exectuvie Order for more extra-judicial killings, re assassinatons that all former presidents put together.

Remind me, on who's shift has Libya, Syria and the increased militarisation around Russia's borders taken place?

Quite rightly, in the early 60's the Yanks didn't like Russian missiles in Cuba. But theirs in E. Europe are Ok?

I'm glad the 1st black president was as slick as him. Difficult time to be president following George W.

Americans who'd never vote for a black guy must have grudgingly been impressed how he carries himself an show his class and integrity.

despite the ongoing troubles how he's walked that fine line between voicing his opinions as a black man and as the chief while trying to unite the whole time.

Sorry, I thought this thread was about Obama's prowess as a public speaker, not US policies in general

My bad. The words Iraq and Afghanistan threw me off how great an orator he is.

I know I know- I'm sure his comment was as the redneck justifying any hatred for obama and not the posters opinion. (Nip that in the bud before we get wires crossed lol)
