Are you somewhat, or have you had experience with people who are passive aggressive? Some will kill you with icy silence, heaps of resentment. Others will act vengefully to spoil something. Maybe you have a meet and you/they didn't really like the timing, or location and something happened?
People with this behaviour style are all around us - even the best of us can act it out. |

I'll put my hands up to my mood showing on the surface.
I wouldn't call it passive aggressive though.

I'll put up with a certain amount but I have a massive thing for people overstepping my boundaries and my anger will be sent out directly, rather than banging about, expecting others to get the message, without speaking a word. |

Passive aggressive isn't hiding your anger or being two faced.
Its when you act out your anger/annoyance passivley. For example, if someone asks you to move off a chair and you look at them and continue sitting.
Thats passive aggressivness, its not two faced.
We can all be passive aggressive at times, but for some people they take it too far and its a disorder.

Yes, it is when someone doesn't communicate their real thoughts and feelings about something. Instead, they may say the opposite, may be resentful, say something with sarcasm - as individual as the person is really.
As with most tendencies, it's not a black and white thing, where we're either passive aggressive or not - there's a sliding scale. And it's behaviour, not personality imo. |
