Body Size descriptions

Could someone explain what the body description athletic means as it doesn't seem to mean what I think it does looking at women's profiles on here ? I thought it meant very lean and fit ??

Or do some women think it means lots of energy ?

It's the same with the athletic men.

I think it means they feel they have done something sporty in the last year.

I'm just fat but it's not an option. Ooo, I'm doing a run soon so perhaps I should list myself as athletic after that.

Anything from skinny twat like me to a rugby player or massive gym body could be described as athletic.

Just pick what you think is best and let your pics do the talking.

Athletic? For men it means they've picked the description they think most likely to get them a meet. For women it means they used to shot put for the East German olympic squad.

Athletes come in all shapes and sizes so as a size descriptor it's as subjective as curvy, fabulous, ample and all the others. Since you can't use it as a search parameter anyway it seems a bit pointless. It's almost as if people don't skip straight to the pictures anyway so they can make their own minds up about someone else's size and shape...

I know I suppose I didn't word it well I just mean more lean than muscle built

I know being a runner he's going to be toned but he's still slim and lean, not bulging

Sure you're not thinking of Mo farah (however it's spelt) the long distance runner, sprinters do tend to be quite bulging especially in the leg department :p

Yeah same. Now I'm down to a 16 again I figured I could just about get away with curvy. Although I'm much less curvy than I was before really.

When we joined up the body shapes went from slim through to fabulous with a whole range of words getting larger inbetween.....I chose fabulous because it was the biggest

My OH is a gym bunny and has a six pack and muscles so we chose athletic for him.....we have loads of pics and wouldn't meet anyone unless they had seen the friends only which has us full on bare ass naked so you can see exactly what you are getting which actually makes things a lot easier.

The sizing is subjective anyway as it is how you view your own self not necessarily what others think of you

If you can make a hurried rush to the chip shop it can count as athletic, in some eyes. If your body is borderline, show clear photos that are recent and allow others to determine whether you're more Olympic sized than athlete or flag pole than typically sized for others' delights.

Only if you're cycling at such a pace that you get a good cardiovascular workout.

If you answer yes then I hope you have shower facilities at your workplace.

To work isn't bad as it's mostly down hill however I did make it in 10 mins for 3.1 miles the other day no shower facilities although I have suggested them I often get told I smell nice though
