...I'm a huge fan of zeppelin and listen to them a lot, but watching them on BBC2 and some incredible footage of Robert Plant...just blows me away, just how incredible a range he has and, wow, what a forceful voice too |

"Now theres a guy who is seemingly oblivious to the sex appeal that he oozes, amazing voice too!"
....which adds to his allure.
I'm excited about the new stuff he's doing with band of joy as I do wonder where it will lead....
I know he always said never to LZ reuniting because it wouldn't be the same without bonham, but they've put band of joy back together...is that a sign of things to come?
I'd re-mortgage my house for that ticket! |

i saw zep at earls court may 25th 1975 on the physical graffiti tour that was turned into the film the song remains the same.
an awsome gig and one of the few dates imprinted on my mind. Also caught em at live aid in the states but wasnt the same without JB.
Have met Planty a few times and have to say what a nice bloke, sponsors and works with young musicians at the local college in kidderminster.
Hats of to rob plant ...

Robert Plant, circa early 1970's was a "blokes" rock star, who was hero worshipped by both sexes.
Another rock superstar with very similar looks and stature, and just as powerful a voice and range was Roger Daltrey.
Both these rock icons, with flowing blonde manes, stripped to the waist and clad in skin tight Levis, blasting out their bands self penned rock anthems, evoke memories that send you searching through your music collection looking for the musical treasures of a distant time.
Led Zepp are, rightfully in my view anyway, regarded by many as the greatest rock band ever, and one that is unlikely to be surpassed. Sure, there have been pretenders to the crown, and no doubt there will be others who will fleetingly aspire to challenge them, but in reality, there can only be one "best", All hail to Robert, Jimmy, John and John Paul.. The true Kings of Rock |

I had tickets for his show In Birmingham a couple of weeks ago, and couldnt get there.
A fabulous vocalist, what I really admire is the way he has taken his career in the direction he wanted to after the break up of Zeppelin. His work is really diverse, and his latest album is just superb.
Big Wolves fan and was apparently at OT yesterday, sorry about the late Goal Percy!! |

robert plant has the voice of an angel, and the voice of the devil.all in one body, genious.
i saw him and page being interviewed,on tfi.chris evans said, most of the other guests, made crazy demands,as to what they wanted in thier dressing room.all two of biggest rock stars ever known wanted, was two bottles of absolute vodka.they probably brought thier own drugs.
so different from todays, vegetarian, non drinking, anti drugs,pc,kid on rock stars.if you dont want to live, the lifestyle.dont go into rock, get a job in the bank. |
