"The best way to determine this is to decide which fillums you would always watch however many repeats.
For me:
Blade runner
Serenity
Harry Potter
From Dusk till Dawn
Alien (any)"
Yup... Blade runner's probably my fifth. Excellent taste btw |

"Seven
The Elephant Man
Sophie's Choice
One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest
Step Brothers"
Seven and One Flew over the Cuckoos nest are brill films , but I've only managed to watch Seven once - too psychological for me.
Shawshank Redemption
As good as it Gets
Mister Roberts
Goodfellas
The Bucket List
There are loads more - depends on my mood that day!

I see a few people have picked The Departed. Did you know it's a remake?
Check out the original, Infernal Affairs
More greats come to mind the more you think about this:
The Third Man
The Searchers
Man Bites Dog
Aguirre
The Outlaw Josey Wales
Mean Streets
Taxi Driver
Das Boot
........ |

Is Infernal Affairs the Chinese/Hong Kong film with Chow Yun Fat?
I think I've seen it but not entirely sure... |

I've definitely seen Hard Boiled. I think I've seen Infernal Afairs too. I'm a big fan of Hong Kong cinema, especially Jackie Chan's earlier movies. |

Far far far too many it's like asking who are the 5 hottest women on earth but off the top of my head
Shawshank (usually watch it at least once a year)
Convoy (sad I know)
Ferris bueller's day off (spent a summer as a kid with mates learning all the words)
Original Italian Job (literal cliff hanger)
Stardust (soft sod I know)

Honest answer... if I had to burn all my films except 5 they'd probably be...
1) What Dreams May Come
2) Days Of Heaven
3) The Fall
4) Wings Of Desire
5) Blue Velvet
...but I'd be mourning the loss of probably about 50 others that could have almost made it on that list... my latest fave being Interstellar |

"Not 1 person had mentioned a porn film haha"
I must confess I've got a soft spot for really crap films (probably comes from my love of David Lynch) my all time favourite crap porno is Body Love as my copy has both english and swedish language on it which confuses the heck out of it and added on top is a hard synth soundtrack from Klaus Schulze which just doesn't fit in the slightest. Its the kind of film my younger self would've necked a load of the weird stuff and revelled in getting off my head to it |

Good choices!
I went for Badlands over Days of Heaven but it was a close call.
Wings of Desire is wonderful - also considered Paris Texas.... |
