Memories of "bommy night" food from your childhood?

Mine were:-

1. Black peas.

2. Tater pie.

3. Parkin.

ooooh spuds buried under the dying bonfire, cooking slowly and we could never wait for them to fully cook before digging them up. they were still delish.

Baked spuds done on the bomfire. Treacle Toffee. Sausages done on the bomfire. Chestnuts done guess where.

I love stovies now ...... but that is due to rellies moving to Scotland.

Torquay

1. Accidentally setting light to the neighbours shed when our bonfire got out of control.

2. Food poisoning after eating undercooked sausages.

3. Getting our car stuck in a field for two days after attending a big firework display

Bonfire nights.....Love 'em!
