half fill the bath is best as it'll settle with the weight of water so the seal could seperate later if you don't.
If you want a neat finish run tape along the bath and tiles, apply sealant then run a wetted finger along the bead. When done, carefully remove the tape and you should have pretty clean edges. |

Important thing is to leave the water in the bath until the sealant has set / gone off |

yep, that too, overnight to set at least. Oh and cold water, steam/condensation will affect the bonding |

It's a shaped silicone tool, silicone doesn't stick to silicone.
No need for spit or running a finger along it. Just fill the bath, seal, shape and let is set |
