I'm totally rubbish at reading signals. I tend to think, "why would they fancy me".
It's a little lack of self confidence probably brought on through too many rejections. I'm sure a good confidence boost will set me right again. |

I am fairly slow and sometimes think people look out of curiosity, maybe even hostility.
A warm smile helps, as it's inviting rather than blocking.
I've had a number of friends of others who have had to step in to relay interest to me.
I'm fairly friendly and can understand others who are too and this can overlook the obvious interest that they have. It's a pain though appreciate people being clear and direct. Fancy a fuck? |

I think I'm far better at it in person than on here. Body language is so expressive and is a huge element of communication, which doesn't necessarily translate very well to these means. So more emphasis gets placed on the signals that are being sent.

Off here I am very observant at reading body language so it is easier. Here not as easy as I generally think the flirting message and is hard to decipher.On forums I know it is just a laugh and doesn't mean anything. I would rather have a straight forward message saying they liked me, which is a bit different than a fancy a fuck message. . Then let the flirting begin. |

Unless someone just comes out and tells me/us, we usually assume they're just being friendly/polite.
Some people are naturally touchy feely or chatty. So we don't like to just assume anything from it.

A funny recent incident at a friends 50th, was an attractive woman, who liked a shirt I was wearing. She asked what make it was and where I got it. I didn't know because it was a gift. She then proceeded to undress me at the buffet to find out  But I think she just liked the shirt and not the person inside
