This evening at 6:45 I phoned 111 and described my not serious symptoms to a friendly and polite health advisor. Ten minutes later a friendly lady phoned and asked me if I could be at the local hospital in 25 minutes. Less than an hour after I phoned I was on my way home with a prescription.
That is first class service in my book. Well done the NHS. |

OP- I hope you're feeling better soon. I'm glad they got you seen and sorted with a prescription.
I agree they're great - around the same time - I was taking an injured party to my local community hospital. Receptionist was lovely. Was seen within 20 mins - patched up by a lovely nurse. Have instructions to go back tomorrow if needs be. Well done NHS! |

"After its shaky launch, it seems to have developed into a great service, helping fix appointments in your local centres, after initial checks. I'm very proud of our NHS."
on the way home we were talking about the shaky start. I have to say I only phoned them because I was unable to get an appointment with my GP but I didn't want to concentrate on the negative aspect. |
