yet again belfast has done it again so much for peace in the country.
a local shopping centre has banned poppys from there shop but yet have both side's of the community work and shop in it..
and another shop has banned its worker's from wearing 'help for heros' whrist bands calling them 'sectarian'

It doesn't really matter does it... all UK citizens pay tax regardless of whether they are N.Irish separatists or anti-war pacifist wankers. Their tax pays our troops so let them have their demos, it's a free country and they have the right to disagree... they don't have the right to withdraw their tax contributions though, so fuck 'em. |

Poppies should not be hi-jacked. They are for all soldiers who gave there lives. This year I was offered one for "soldiers in Afghanistan ... I think" from a young lady.
I did take the trouble to explain that I would buy one but to remember all - not for one particular war. |

You could, of course, donate £5/year to the British Legion who do sterling work on behalf of ALL British servicemen and women killed and maimed in whatever war our forces are engaged in. Seems a no brainer to me, and when you're approached by charity workers you can say with pride, "I donate to the British Legoin sweetie, thanks for asking though." |
