Basically what comes around goes around.
You do good things you'll get good things in return, do bad things you'll get bad in return. Generally used in context of how you treat people. |

"It's an excuse for wanting something bad to happen to someone, it's never used in a positive nice way "
Isn't it? I believe in doing good deeds, on the off chance I might get one in return. I don't do it for selfish reasons. |

Karma/ Karmic justice- to do with Bhudism. The biblical equivalent would be 'Do unto others as you would have done unto yourself'
It can be positive or negative depending on how you treat other people as in: 'what goes around comes around'
So which would you rather be known as: or |

Karma is a big crock of crap. If it exists it means we must believe that all the bad things that happen to people are a result of their own misdeeds I doubt many people who work in children's hospitals believe in it.

Very well said there! .........I'd be very surprised that it didn't come from much earlier Hinduism though.
But contrary to popular belief (above), you cannot wish it on anyone, - it's quite simple; what you give is what you get!
... . & the worst part of it all is that there's no age restrictions, - ouch!! |

Karma is the spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering.
What it isn't is a universal justice system run by some invisible force which doles out bad shit to people who do bad things. If it were, many of history's greatest dictators world have spontaneously combusted in their early years! |

In other words, just to simplify it, (because it badly needs it, sorry) - if you give out shit in life, you get shit!!

No literal translation from sanskirt I believe. But means action or doing.
Relates to action and the consequences of your intentions, or cause and effect |

Not sure I understand what you mean but no, I'm not scared of karma. |

But it is also observable that if you give out roses you also get shot. |

I'm one of those people that can't just drive past someone broken down at the side of the road, or watch somebody struggle to lift something. And although I've had shit in my life, the positives far outweigh the negatives, so I guess I believe in karma |

No, not scared of karma........ grrrrrrr, I normally have an obnoxious Scottish assistant, but she's deserted me!!
But you can't be scared of Karma because your Karma belongs to you, it's your own words or deeds.
It's just a right bastard when they come home to roost - - ......but not if you really understand it.
See, therefore it's good, not bad. |

It's a supposed life force and the law of moral causation. The theory of Karma is a fundamental doctrine in Buddhism, although it predates the Buddha.
It is nonsense tho' - ie
"My karma has run over my dogma" |
