Rammstein, their stage shows are unreal.
Ugly kid Joe, saw them live. They can sing, also have a brilliant rapport with the crowd.
Carter USM, I like, wonder when they will regroup again. |

"Meatloaf @ Monsters of Rock in 1983, he was shite, luckily Dio, ZZ Top & Whitesnake more than made up for it " Actually had the same thing happen at Bowies glass spider tour at roker park, thank god Big Country saved the show |

blink182 were indeed terrible live, as was Meatloaf at Doningotn 83 and Knewbworth 85. And more fool anyone who took chance on Coldplay!Weller was brilliant when I saw the Jam late 82, but Style Council and him on his own disappointed hugely |

Judging by your photos you'd be pretty decent live |

Strange point but I've seen many bands many times and sometimes gigs are less than great due to crowd. Saw Iron Maiden late 88 at Hammersmith and crowd were crap, and the Damned in Gloucester a few weeks ago was same, crowd as dead as a doornail. |

The Fall have always been shambolic when I've seen them live but that is part of their charm. As for disappointing; I was gutted as a teenager about how bad Ned's Atomic Dustbin were at the Phoenix Festival. As I grew to understand a bit more about sound engineering though it may not have been their fault. |

Def Leppard - seeing them for the 5th time in December. Looking forward to their new album later this year too
I also like Level42. Missed their recent tour and understand it was good. Bit miffed about missing that |

Not on that particular occasion. I did see them afterwards (Wulfrun Hall I think) and they were brilliant. |

Speaking of being shambolic, I saw UB40 as part of a charity gig at the NEC in the 80's, all the bands had Midlands roots, Elo, The Moody Blues, Slade, Robert Plant etc.
When they played Red Red Wine, Astro came on stage about 30 seconds late completely missing his rapping part....he claimed he'd got lost backstage |

Coldplay for me too. Special birthday treat in Paris and they were abysmal. It's the first time I've ever been at a concert and a professional band have started a song..then stopped cause they got it totally wrong and just didn't bother trying it again. It was a farce. Got to say...the meal and the wine after were out of this world though. Softened the blow a bit.
Next day in the public toilets in The Tuileries they were playing "Clocks" just to add insult to injury. |

"But were so disappointed to see them live
Has to be Madness for me "
Seen Madness a few times - they perform live pretty good, I thought?
Divine Comedy were shit live.
Bob Dylan was awful - but Tony Bennett came on after and wiped the floor with him |

Worst band I ever saw were some clowns supporting the Levellers in Manchester back in '92 or thereabouts. So bad I thought they had been dragged in off the street to make up the bill, some Welsh whiners called Manic Street Preachers. Put it this way, if I'd been part of that show idea have jumped off a bridge too. Fecking abysmal, whiny moronic student crap. |

"Was looking forward to Simple Minds a good few years ago, Deacon Blue was the warm up act and were so good that Simple Minds couldn't compete live . " Whenever I've seen Simple Minds they've been excellent, saw The Bangles support Simple Minds years ago and they were shite |

Watch some of their recent performances on YouTube (live on Jimmy Kimmel or Ellen Degeneres). David Lee Roth couldn't carry a tune in a bucket.
The rest of the band can still play but Roth ruins it. Eddie has also become a bitter and twisted human being. |

They should just retire and stop kissing all over their legacy. |

My Bloody Valentine were amazing live. Totally gobsmackingly awesome. "
I dont disagree back in the day. But the reformed gigs were earpoppingly loud. When youve set the bar so high the only way is down mfraid. Still love em like... |

Ian Brown, not really a band, but jesus, his voice was humped.
On the other side, James are incredible live, my brother dragged me along when his mate couldnt go. The guys voice was pitch perfect and the band knew what they were doing, barely listened to their stuff before. |

Stones get away with having a load of great tunes to sing along too. Go to see them for the experience not the band performance lol. |

Had the misfortune of hearing the stone roses at reading festival 96. Pure drivel. It was Brown and some session guys by then mind.
Totally agree James are one of the best bands I've seen live. |
