It's a revamp, not following the original story, although there is also another ghostbusters movie planned as well as the one they're currently filming. |

It's not so much the all female cast, that bothers me. It's a question of getting the balance right with the original.
People liked the original for the chemistry that made that film. The concept of people going busting ghosts is not what made the film.
In terms of remakes, one of the best remakes I have ever seen is the A-team.
It modernized the series but also kept some of the classic touches and the actors did not seem to mind playing the roles that where some what caricature. Mad murdock and BA particularly.
If they are just going to throw different characters into the same costumes then will we go for those characters.
You could have a female venkman, but will they dare try to do that?
As for terminator, well outside the first 2 the rest were a bit disappointing.
Terminator had some good bits, but lost it for me with the whole man/machine from prison and the impossible ending. |
