Who ate their packed lunch as the coach left school on trip day?
Or did you save it faithfully for the proscribed time and place?
Or did you drop it in the first bin you could find then try to sneak off into a shop for something else? |

I was the good kid who saved it till we got there
Fortunately I was never the kid with the egg sarnies that stank the bus out and got you called out
I made a pack up this morning and I wanted to eat it as soon as I made it |

"I was the kid that didn't dare to eat my pack up as I knew I'd be sick on the way there and back x "
it was always the drink that made me sick, so had to avoid that.
I used to save it until it was lunch time. Those brown paper bags, I remember them so well! |

Guilty as charged!
Then, spent my pocket money for the trip on the things Mum and Dad usually banned me from eating (like chewing gum, certain crisps or sweets) then got caught out as I was too stupid as my Mum would find the wrappers in my pocket!! |

I swapped my Mini Cheddars for my best friend's Skips for pretty much the whole of primary school.
And from the age of about 14 I used to miss lunch and keep the money for makeup. Priorities! |

No, I was the kid who went through the school rules with a fine-tooth comb, dressed 'inappropriately' and was hauled in front of the headmaster to account for himself.
As I sweetly pointed out:
"Can you show me where that's written down?"
They had to let me go but changed the rule book the following year.
Always was a difficult little sod. |
