One for the guys......Why oh why do so many guys list their body size as athletic or slim? Personally I'm only looking for Curvy, Ample or Large build guys, (yes I know I'm picky, sorry) so when an Athletic or slim guy comes along more often than not its a thanks but no thanks from me. Remarkably in nine out of ten cases the guys come back with....well actually I'm curvy, some have even changed the listing on their profile when I have pointed out that there are lots of girls on here looking for fuller figured guys and not slim / athletic with a gym enhanced six pack.
So my question is why do so many guys say they are athletic / slim when in reality they are not? |

think it can be confusing sometimes....
i mean, what does athletic mean?
does it mean athletic like a tri-athlete or athletic like a darts player from the 1980's?
there's no hard and fast rules, it's how the individual sees themselves |

Its just the way people see themslves. I'm a large, 6ft, 16stone, but I'm not a lard arse.
We've met atheletic guys built like darts players, and attractive people who really should wear masks

Probably for the same reason some guys say they are VWE, when in reality they aren't, all to try and put what they think ladies want and to impress. When majority of use know, ladies all prefer different things, and if you lie on your profile you'll only get found out during the meet....if it ever gets that far |

I think men or ladies will try to describe their size of body especially on a site like this.
I will use myself as an example.
I see myself as curvy. Am I fat? Well I guess I am as have a belly(2 kids one being c section so no feeling in lower belly)any weight I have goes there, so yes maybe I am fat. But when you have bloody marvelous boobs no one looks at my belly lol.
I see myself as beautiful and seductive as I feel it on the inside. It is very rare for me to describe myself as attractive or beautiful but am confident in my body(normally)
I have bad days when I look at myself and think,I look a mess and need to loose a few stone but then have always been this size. I am a size 16/18 body on average(more 16 than 18) but boobs considerably larger.
I dont see myself as a BBW. Maybe someone else would tho.
We all see something different so there will always be a difference in judgement. |

Women look in the mirror and see a person who is fatter than what they really are.
Men look in the mirror and see a thinner person - they notice weight gain when clothes stop fitting " I think these jeans have shrunk" |

my nickname was always "the freak" or "the unit"
I have this arguement all the time... normally when some skinny bloke tries sees me and say something derogitory.. fatty or something of that ilk....
so them i challenge them normally to push ups... when i beat them at that challenge then to a sprint... of which i normally dawdle at there pace, then say goodbye as i go into 2nd!!!
so being fit and having one of these 6 pack things are not always one and the same...
I bet people wouldn't dare call rugby players or american football players unfit because they aren't what would be called conventional....

"I just can't get my head around guys who say they are curvy!...females are curvy surely?"
I think this gets nearer to the point. Don't think (or hope) blokes deliberately mislead but trying to describe our shape using female descriptives is not easy. Blokes aren't curvy to my knowledge-I like curvy and only see it in women.
From 'athletic' (says to me slim) to medium (says to me a bit podgy) leaves a hell of a gap into which we have to best place ourselves.
I describe myself as athletic as I do physical work so have bigger shoulders and arms but a 32" waist. I believe if I put myself down as medium women would believe me to be bigger than I am.
Not sure if my reasoning echos with any other guys but it is all subjective until we send those photos in the email...

Isn't it time the guys body type list had a few differences to the women's list?
It's hard to imagine a "curvy" guy......tiny waist with big boob's,hip's and arse?
Kind of..... with the body of a Goddess and the head of Mike Tyson! R

I have to admit I find it strange men describe themselves as curvy, but hey ho: who am I to tell someone how they should describe themself! |

All very true. I remember the case of a guy called Tim Rodber. In his day job at one point he was an Officer Cadet in the Army, going through Sandhurst. In his spare time he played a bit of rugby. One week he was playing as flanker for the British Lions against South Africa, and the next he was back at Sandhurst, and couldn't pass his Basic Fitness Test (BFT) which was basically a 3 mile run, in army boots, in under 26 minutes. So there...as the man says...what do you call "athletic" or "unfit"? |

Get them to cam before meeting then you have a better idea about how recent pictures sent are. |

My Hooby is 5ft 10 and weighs just under 17stone. And its solid. He has to put athletic as its the closest one to describe how he is - he is at the gym 6 times a week doing big weights. If people didnt know him and heard he was nearly 17st at 5'10" they immediately assume he is fat whereas in reality he is completely solid beef! But when he puts athletic, people assume a footballer build. If he puts large, people assume he is fat.
Yes, there needs to be other options - could there be "big solid bugger" for the boys on here that are nice and muscley? |

I like bigger guys, Im always scared ill lose the very slim guys in my tummy if Im playing with them.
Im not keen on the six pack physical perfection kind of guy, I like a guy with a tummy, someone normal. Athletic puts me off on a profile because it conjures up sport for me and thats something Im absolutely terrified of. |

I also prefer a normal guy, having two kids means i dont have the flattest of tummies, i also like something to grab hold of, meeting a six pack kind of guy would make me feel like laurel and hardy, morecombe and wise |

BHMs with lots of tattoos or piercings do not do anything for me.
I ask for body as well as face and cock pics before I would meet a potential new playmate to avoid disappointment.
I would exchange pics in return for the same reason.
I recently met a gent at a social, and I could not recognise him clothed! |

to the op, its the same with women, i must have _iewed about 10 people who all put there profiles as slim, when they werent. Obviously size is a personal thing, and also a perception thing.
So whats everage? i was told the womens average dress size in the uk is 18, to me thats not average, thats large....
so someones perceptions of themselves or other people is probably different to how other people see them and how other people see themselves!
was this a pointless post? |
