"A is for the assets I barely have.
36A. Ish.
I'll go one slightly further and say 34A "
Ahhh no, mine are smaller, because your ratio of boob size to chest size means you have more boob per inch than I do.
So I envy yours. |

Honestly, I have no idea at this moment in time...
Pregnancy meant my usual 36DD bras now suffer from SEVERE over-spill and now barely come above the nipple, and I just never found the time to go and get measured or go on a "trying on" spree. And now I'm pregnant again...
I've spent the last year or so living in bandeau tops and sports bras, lol.

I would say I'll fight you for it, but being Fab, someone would only throw us in a paddling pool of jelly for wrestling, and as we're both straight it'd be a bit of a waste. |

"I still don't know what the heck bra sizes mean "
The number is taken from measuring round your back, under the breast.
The letter is measuring around the fullest part of the breast. The difference between the two is what makes it A,B, C etc. |

Right. So what's the double letter for? |

I think lots of people need remeasuring! I was amazed how getting fitted properly, and not with the snooty woman in M&S, made my band shrink and cup size go up. After years of wearing the wrong size it was strange putting on a bra that fit properly.

Some of them just have a double letter. So DD is bigger than D. But AA is smaller than A. But you don't get CC. Actually, now I think about it, it's a ridiculous system |

We used to have a brilliant independent tiny lingerie shop near me. She gave me the best fitting bras I ever had. She wasn't used enough though, so sadly she had to close. |

I agree re some of the sizes posted, but that makes sense because I'm sure something ridiculously high like 80% of women wear the wrong size. Going too big in the band and too small in the cup is usually the thing. |

I'd love something like that near me, although my lingerie bill really doesn't need to get any bigger. |

People still use the +5 inches on the band, the M&S woman wouldn't listen to me when I told her she was wrong. |

Also depends on the manufacturer, my local lingerie shop measure me completely different to others, as it's a French designer so makes them very expensive too, but if I try that size with others they don't fit, it is down to tial and error, places like Bravissimo are no good for me. |

I'm 42 DD - though I'd gladly have smaller boobs - now that I drive, gone are the days of having to run for a bus on the occasion which were perhaps deemed as a ticket selling event! hah! |
