Because you have messaged someone who is not interested in what you have to offer.
I personally block young lads as they cant seem to read Im not interested |

"why do some people block me after first message ?.
im never rude and if they say there not interested always say thanks for the reply and dont bother them again...."
Because the option is there and they can use the option. |

I don't normally get involved in these sort of threads but maybe I can give some insight from a female point of _iew...
So someone messages me and they are a smoker and I don't meet smokers so I say 'Thanks but I don't meet smokers'...
He then writes back and says 'how about if I don't smoke for an hour before we meet'.....I write back saying 'thanks but we won't be meeting'....
He then writes back for a third time telling me he brushes his teeth and uses mouth washes before meets....
See my point?, he can't accept that we are not compatible and unless I blocked him he would continue to badger me.
Hence my reason for blocking after a first exchange of messages if I feel it will never have the possibility of ending in a meet.
Experience tells me that unless I use the block facility on the site I will never convince some people that I am not interested.....however hard I try. |

"no not spoilt my fun so far.. best site ive found so far.. met some really nice people.. thought it mite be single men pretending to b a couple"
I wouldn't go down that route to be honest, not everyone who fails to reply or blocks people are single men pretending.....as they would probably answer you if they were a scam |

I regularly block people that message me after not reading the profile.
I also dont meet smokers or men under 30 but they will message me again and again,so I block them after their first message to me as it is just a waste of my time to get 40 emails and 38 of them from smokers or under 30s.
I now have less mail but normally its more interesting.
It saves them trying to mail me again and again even after the first and second no thanks.
Just dont get upset and move on ok xx |

I select random people and block them just for fun.
They are probably unaware I do this but that's not important. I like the feeling of power and it's a bit like bubble wrap. You can't stop blocking once you start. |

I totally understand what you are saying and its only reasonable to expect people to READ the profile before messaging but............ i was perving loads of profiles (Naughty i know! ) and i noticed on a few of em (just seemed to be ladies) that they INSISTED on the age range being adheard to or they will block if out-with the range etc ..... then i go on and read the verifications and quite a few had people wayyyyyy over or under the range stated! one was ALL her verifications and there were quite a few so sometimes actually reading the full profile will result in mixed signals! |

Ditto - we get so many people who will not take no for an answer despite the fact that we reply to all mails with a polite "ooh goody let's shag" or a "thanks but no thanks with the reason why" |

I will block people if they havent taken no for an answer, or irritate me with constantly hounding me every time one of us are online, these are usually the guys who will message, Feebs is that you, and if Chris messages back saying no its me, they say oh no, we wanted Feebs. That really annoys both of us, what these guys dont seem to realise is that if they annoy him, then they are not gonna play with me are they? |

Forgive me if i'm wrong but i think the op was asking why people who ARE compatible block him after the first polite message he sends? And of course the only reason is coz they can. When that happens you've just got to bite your lip and move on. |
