Watching Sky news in horror at the tragedy that has unfolded today.
6 Irish students dead. Aged between 21-22 years. 8 more students still critical.
God love their families.  |

A hotel balcony collapsed this morning killing 5 people instantly and a 6th died in hospital later. There are several more said to be critically injured.
I was listening to Radio 4 earlier and they had someone from the Irish foreign office on explaining that all the victims are Irish students who were working/studying on temporary USA visas.
Tragic. And I gather quite a few anxious families in Ireland awaiting news of their children. |

Just seen the preview on the news. They were partying on a balcony & it's collapsed. How awful for everyone involved & their families x "

It's horrific. The names have just been released and families are en route to the US.
It's a popular apartment complex used by Irish students who are on J1 visas every summer. My brother and his mates stayed there when they did their J1 a few years ago.
