As the sun is out today, I thought it would be nice to pick up a few pieces of fruit to enjoy. Popped into M&S and saw a 400g punnet of Spanish Red Cherries reduced from £4 to 40p, also bought 4 delicious juicy peaches, a punnet of strawberries and a couple of Kiwi fruits

What are your favourites?

In Italian I think it's called a Caci Fruit - kinda like a Sharon Fruit. I looks like a beefsteak tomato, but the inside flesh is very gelatinous & incredibly sweet. I rarely see them in the UK unless they're imported via an Italian Deli.

Failing that Stawberries, bananas, blueberries, kiwi, passion fruit, or good Scottish raspberries.

The Alphonso mango is a most stirring and sensual experience. The Marilyn Monroe of fruit.

You need to come and visit me - your Caci (Persimmon) is readily available here. Although this isn't the season.
